Funded by private donors, and dedicated to Flathead County, the multi-phased Volunteer Park was developed to provide public lake access to bustling Lakeside, MT. Named 'Volunteer Park' for the unbridled community spirit that has shaped the town over the years, the park provides an array of features for users, and serves as a central element of the community. The site design includes a public beach area with swimming access, docks, pavilions, restroom facilities, picnic areas, accessible sidewalks, and parking. Mature trees were blended with new landscape areas and sweeping lawn areas providing space for activities. Sidewalks, and crossings at Highway 93 connect the park to neighborhoods, storefronts, and the local elementary school.
