BBLA sought to ensure that the house and mountain melded into one cohesive site for this property. Site planning included rock structured walls to blend with oversize dry-set rock, making the entry human-scale. Mortar-set terraces step cown creating a gradual landscape transition to dry-set terraces blending into the lawn areas, providing play space for children. The home entry area was carefully planned to preserve the wooded area and natural contours of the mountainside.
